Glacier Lake Day Tour

Service Description

Departing Fort Simpson at approximately 9am, expect to be gone for about 8 hours. First stop is Little Doctor Lake, nestled in the Nahanni Range where we spend about 40 minutes on one of its many sandy beaches. After jumping back in the floatplane, we soar over the spectacular Ram Plateau and Ram Canyon leading us deep into the Nahanni where we find the awe inspiring Glacier Lake that overlooks the Cirque of the Unclimbables. We spend about 40 minutes here, filling our water bottles in the mountain fed stream and taking in the view. Then we follow the South Nahanni River downstream past the Rabbit Kettle Tufa Mounds landing at the spectacular Virginia Falls. We spend about 2 hours on the ground with a guided hike to either the top or bottom of the waterfall. From here we follow the canyons down-river just as the paddlers do taking us back out of the Nahanni country touching back down on the Mackenzie River in Fort Simpson.

Cancellation Policy

1. A booking date and time can be secured by means of a non-refundable deposit. 2. A booking may be changed to a later/earlier date & time subject to availability at no additional cost. 3. The deposit is 100% non-refundable. 4. In the event of weather delays causing a back-log of flights, the first flight delayed will be the first flight to depart once weather improves. 5. In the event the carrier is not able to safely conduct a flight due to weather or unforeseen circumstances and the carrier postpones the flight; The charterer may opt to reschedule the flight to a date of their choosing (subject to availability) within the next 18 months or be issued a refund of any deposit previously made less a 3% processing fee. 6. All floatplane & tour bookings will be confirmed by means of a ‘Booking Confirmation’. This will contain important details regarding your booking, please reference the booking confirmation number when making changes to your booking. 7. Contact us directly for changes/cancellations.
